He is most famous as a proponet of the therapeutic and spiritual benefits of LSD. During the 1960's, he coined and popularized the catch phrase "Turn on, tune in, and drop out".

personaly i like thomson's approach to the whole scean in the 70's. leary left alot of people hanging when he dissapeared.
