    I think i know what is meant to be and what is not...... things dont always go to plan tho do they..... ;-) Most lights are meant to be hung sideways but sometimes hanging it down with no reflector is what you have to do when your plants are growing thru the roof.

    LOL yea please

    i never said that it couldn't be done that way... just that the standard by far is horizontally with a reflector of some type.... it really does not take up alot of head room to mount them sideways and since its an EVL plants can grow right into it... so if you're at the point where you literally NEED to put the EVL vertically to save that 6'' or 8'' of head space then, IMHO, you need a taller grow area, or need to start looking into LST or ScroG... just my :twocents:
