    its not right.

Ask him why he thinks its cool. People like that often cant distinguish between reality and fantasy, and probably would not think death is so interesting if they saw it in real life. Show him pictures of little kids who are dying of hunger or everyday people living in war zones, or tell him about little girls getting raped and left in the woods to die and and see is he finds that fascinating. If he doesnt, ask him to explain why he thinks thats not funny but a soldier getting his head sewn off is.

i agree with nickx750 - it's his own thing, and you should have him not bring it around you.

and he probably does have a fascination with death, there are a lot of people that are interested too. i mean, it's not just psychos looking at faces of death. it's something so emotional, so brutal, so awful, and maybe he gets something from it to some degree. but anyway, that's how 15 year old boys are, they just like that shit. he should be fine.

I've never seen that video, but it's pretty much infamous all over the world, and as a result i've discussed it with quite a few people recently, including a couple of people here at Cann.com

I'd never watch it. It would sicken and upset me, and I would gain nothing positive from the experience. I can possibly, maybe, kinda see how it would fascinate some people. To use Az as an example, he's watched it because death fascinates him.. but I think he said that, even though he's seen alot of that kind of stuff, he's only watched that particular video once because of the sheer brutality of it.

It's not really anything like watching a horror movie. A horror movie is something designed to scare us with the knowledge that at the end of the day the actors and actresses got up, take off their make up, and go home. A video of a real life murder is completely different. Fascinating to watch once or twice, perhaps, though I don't see it myself. But in my opinion there is something wrong with getting high and constantly watching a man having his head hacked off. It's the most perverse form of vouyerism I can imagine.

I'm sorry to say that about your friend, but I really disagree with that kind of thing, for obvious reasons. It can bring no good to the world, and I think that only a mentally subnormal person could get any pleasure from it.

pain body - there is something in your friend that gets validation from watching this video.. there is a part of his identity his ego that needs to be fed, and it gets it from this video... without it he would need it from somewhere else..

people keep parts of there identity alive no matter how painful it is.. cause nobody wants to LOOSE a piece of WHO THEY ARE..

ahhahah LOL.... the funny part is, they are not THAT which is being fed... if they let it go.. they could become who they are.. effortlessly..

you get upset when somebody cuts you off on the highway.. cause your identity sees that as an oppurtuntity to flare up... to stake claim.. I AM IN THE RIGHT.. "you have no right to drive your car in front of me..."

and if somebody didn't cut you off.. your identity would find another reason to STAKE its CLAIM... I AM ANGRY cause the weather man said rain and I wore pants and now it is sunny!!!!!! I AM ANGRY!!!!! I AM SOMEBODY! I am an ANGRY SOMEBODY! !

    ahaha

One fascination does not demean his character. Look at other points of his character.

I have this friend whose always talking about killing people but I've learned that he's all talk and doesn't have the balls to kill anyone and he tends to harm himself more then others. he tries to be bad ass but you know that's he's mostly talk. don't get me wrong he's cool but yea he would never kill anyone.

edit: only you know his true character so you need to determine if he just likes the idea or watching it or if he'd actually do something. (I feel like smokey bear)

Scare the shit out of him. Make a creative anonymous phone call. Think of something. Scare him. Hold a knife to his throat while he's sleeping. Make him wonder what that guy was thinking as his head was being cut off. Tell him he's a fucknut and that he doesn't deserve an amenity like video-playback.

Okay, so you need to sleep. Try listening to the TV. My Mom used to tell me that and it worked.
