Yes, the economy is going so strong that the largest private provider of healthcare in the world (GM) has had to dramatically cut benefits to its employees as they try to scratch and claw their way out of not declaring bankruptcy.

There should be a real debate about this. It's beyond me how anyone can possibly think the economy is fine.

Perhaps because nobody actually understands the economy as it's "theories", formulas, and "predictions" are always in a state of flux. In my experience all you have to do is read the headlines. Apparently as of reading this thread it's "going strong."
