hm, well im not sure if you know this or not, (sounds like you dont) but America doesnt owe other countries money, they in fact owe the american people money, and the national debt is accually a good thing in some cases. when the americans won the revolutionary war, we owed britan around 25 million dollars in war debts, however, no one had 25 million dollars. the british knew we didnt have the money so they decided to use that as a justifyable reason to keep troops in the north american continent. The american government, desparite to remove the british from america, came up with the idea to createsavings bonds. by doing this they were able to pay off all debts to britan and other countries (france, the netherlands, ect). but they didnt so much pay off the debts as they did transfer them to the american people who bought the bonds. the government is in debt to its self , and the american people who hold bonds. how can trillions of dollars in debt be good? it makes the american people who hold bonds and such have a real say in the government. the government is fincially dependant on the people of america and it creates one government for the people. and for all you people knocking on bush shut the fuck up, bush is dumb but he got elected, dont elect somone then bitch about him sucking in office, its your own damn fault, and if you didnt vote for him, then you may see that american republicanism is bullshit, leave the country, and if your too young to vote and think bush is a tyrant your a fucking dipshit becuase no decision he makes effects your little punk ass. ive been gone watcin yall for too long, had to drop a line

Actually most of the debt is credit card debt, mortgages, and student loans. Last time I checked those 3 areas made up around 50% of the national debt. Its dumbasses who wont get a job and go bankrupt/dont pay their credit cards that is fuckin us up. Of course bushes taxes/war doesnt help. But it would still be better if people just got their lazy asses a job and quit spending money they dont have. It irks me when people get a 30k credit card, spend it all, and only make 20k a year.
