the PERFECT hiding spot.
um. u have to switch the power off in your room via the fuse boxs or circut breakers(just to be safe{even thu i dont do it when im dealing with electural stuf} due to the fact that my dad has tought me a lot of stuff of about that kind of stuff the only time i cut the power off is when im doing shit to the dryer plug, oven plug, water heater, and the fan in our attict, all using the higher voltage of power) just for learning shut off the power, the circuit breakers on my house our in the laundry room. then get the plastic covers for electrisity, they have different gauge wires so ask the guy at the hardware store for covers for standered home wireing, or buy the black tape, it should have UL on the in side of the roll(witch stands for united labators i belive, all they deal with a UL from what ive seen is electrisity) and wrap all of the wires in seperate sheats of tape or in there own wire covers. its preaty mutch that easy.

no no no
no cutting.
gawd lol. cut the power, then those gold screws you see holding the wires to the outlet? unscrew them and the wires pop out. then cover the wires with electrical tape or wire nuts as someone else suggested. Then push them back. They are really stiff so they will stay put. Then if you ever move out etc, you can just put the wires back in place by screwing them back in and nothing is destroyed.
edit: it appears it may be set up a lil different then a standard outlet, in which case try n find a way to unscrew the wires or somethin from another part of the outlet if that doesnt work. One way or another there should be a way to not cut them and remove them. If not... well thats some ghetto wiring lol.

say it was a power outtage :P unless itll actually fuck some stuff up. ~shrug~ without lots of work finding the right one is just educated guessing if they arent labeled properly.

If you have problems figuring out a breaker box, you should not even think about playing with wiring. 110 won't kill you (probably), but it will bite you hard enough you won't fuck with it again until you know what you are doing.
