Help my babies! Leaves curved down

    Hey all,

I have an ebb and flow hydro going about one week into the veg cycle. The plants are about 1.5 weeks from germination, probably 2-4 inches tall, and working on the third full leaf set. Everything started fine, then I noticed the bottom leaves curving down towards the stalk. This sounds like a nitrogen overdose, so I leached the medium, and added fresh ph adjusted water, with like 1/4 recommended additives. This seemed to help the growth rate a little, and the new growth looks ok, but the bottom leaves are still like rams horns. They appear to me to be somewhat stunted as well. The other weird thing is that some of the plants look good, maybe a teenie yellow, and are a little curved, and some are so curved they are touching the stalk! We have used this setup and chemicals in the past with no trouble, so I'm not really sure whats wrong. I will post some pics tonight. Here is my setup:

    400 watt HPS
    PH 6.2-6.6
    Water Temp 68- 72 F
Air Temp 70-77 in grow area
Botanical chemicals - power plant, blast off, silica blast, and cal mag
2 fans = good air circulation

Any help would be really apreciated! Thanks in advance

I look forward to the pics... sounds like you diagnosed it well,, It could also be over watering...

if it is a N overdode.. you would probably see the leaves turn DARK DARK green and the tips of the leaves would be brown..

overwatering looks a bit different, the whole leaf looks "soft" like a KACK that's been humped to death...

where ass a N over does is more of a stiff, ridgid turn down...

you could also spray the leaves with distilled water, this may help nut over dose..

    : )

Thanks for your reply Garden. I found it hilarious yet very informative! Here are some pics from this morning, of the better plants. I will post some pics tonight of the runty bastards. For the last two days I have had them on nothing but ph adjusted water, and many have responded well. Some of the more severly affected plants are devolping new growth that looks decent, but are really acting stunted compared to the rest. Some really got hammered because it turns out my grow medium was treated with something that got all gummed together, and didn't drain very well. Leaching fixed this problem. I added a very weak nute solution last night, about 1/5 strength, because the healthier ones are looking rather yellow like they need nutes. I will try the distilled water, but am not sure if the little runts will pick up or not?!? Thanks a ton for all your help. Any information is greatly appreciated.
