growing 4 planets in a closet with 600W hortilux bulb
sounds good...
1. I would use miracle grow...but that is not popular around here LOL
a. if you go with an organic soil... you should be fine... that bag of dirt they have at the nursery with the tomatoe plant growing straight outta the bag... that's the dirt you want....
2. If you are new to growing... you definitley want to use perlite...(30perlite-70soil mix) perlite will really help you avoid over watering.. and new growers LOVE to WATER.. right ? : )
you can also put a piece of newspaper down on the bottom of your pot and then fill the bottom of the pot (3-5 gallons) with about 1/2 - 1 inch of perlite.
3. fert...ahhahaa once again.. miracle grow is easy... but not popular in these parts..
4. watering... well in the beginning you what to keep your soil moist all the time.. moist, not muddy.. maybe just add a cup of water a day... you do this so that the baby tap root from your seed stays moist.. after 10-20 days your plant will have developed good roots and you should only water when the top 2-3 inches of your pot is bone dry.....
5. You can start your seed in the soil.. just keep it moist ...ALL the time..and don't turn on the 600watt bulb.. that thing will dry ot your pot and kill your seed in a second...
6. you want to start with your 600 watt bulb high from your plants.. maybe 36 inches.. and then lower it.. 2-6 iches everyday.. this will give your plant time to adjust to the light and heat... you can sprout your seeds andgrow them for the first week using cfls.. cheap and easy
7. scent---- hmmm
exhaust the room.. take al the air from your room and blow it through a scrubber/filter and then outside.... or if you can just blow it out the roof.
8. yield.. it could vary.. 4 female plants .. under a 600.. hmm... 4 ounces - 1lb..
depends..
major factors are.. temperature...keeping light as close to the canopy as possible and proper nuts and PH...
HOPE THIS HELPED..
: )
