How to use 1K HPS and 400 HPS/MH Best

Going to start first grow and just picked up a 1KW HPS light cheap. I already have a 400 W MH/HPS light. My question is what is the best usage on this for a new Hydro Ebb/Flow setup. Should I use both the 1 KW HPS and the 400 W MH together (seems best). Will be lighting about 11 plants in a 5x6 area. Plants are set up in a 30" x 40" area of this space. Rest of the room will be split for cloning under CFL lighting.

I would veg with 400 MH and flower with HPS and during flower turn MH on for a couple hours a day(MH- it's hot)

Would it be better to just go with the 1400W of HPS instead of running the MH at all? Or would the MH give some extra blue spectrum to balance out the lighting?

Also I was thinking about hanging the 1KW HPS from the top and light the 400W from the side to bud up the bottoms a bit, would that work too?

MH is better for veg, and vegging takes up far less room and does not require less lighting square footage, so use the 400w with a sunmaster warm bulb for veg(it can be added to flower phase, because you can't have too much light!)
Use the 1000w with a hortilux bulb for flower...your grow will be bigger, requiring more square footage to cover and you will be set...imho...hope this helps...
I have found that since I replaced regular 400w bulb with sunmaster warm deluxe bulb,
my plants have fluorished, like I've never seen...I would not use HPS conversion in my MH light...If you have both types MH and HPS lights, then you are blessed...I have both and I wouldn't give up the verstility of having both...jmho...
