charities?
I believe in the bible, and i haven't found a church that has really been benefitial to me. i think it's a good idea to give a tithe or offering to help spread love and kindness. i don't know of any churches that i would want to give to, but does anyone know of either a religious or secular charity that isn't run corrupt as a lot of them are, and that will use my money to help by showing kindness and love and generosity to those in need. i really mean those struggling in life, i can contribute to fund the de-criminilization of marijuana with other money, but i want to find some other type of organization in addition to it. and no, i don't have a whole lot of money, but i feel it's good karma and energy and i will definitly feel positive about giving to a good cause.

That sounds like a good basis for a religion. Let's call it, Amyism.

well as i've stated before i really don't believe in god or any of that stuff....but if you really want to donate to a church that isn't going to use the money for their own selfish reasons or for some other reason peopel who need it won't see the money...i'd suggest looking at some of the run down churches that have been there a long time and are family run, seems to me all the big major churches hold a couple meetings a week and that's the only thing they do, where as the little churches that get passsed over alot seem to be the ones that help people who need the help....when katrina struck i remember seeing alot of little churches (you know ones not much bigger than a house with very few members) help those in need, give them homes, give them food and so on, where as i dont' recall seeing one major chuch (such as lakewood church) offer any type of help. just my advice.
