Those are two very different studies. Which part do you think conflicts? I don't have time to read it all at the moment.

Daily Planet (a discovery channel show here in Canada...don't know about anywhere else), just did an interview with a researcher from the Prarie Provinces where they were doing tests on rats with THC. They found that it increased activity in the hippocampus area of the brain up to 40% (that's the area for memory and stuff). So they think that cannabanoids found in marijuana could actually help with memory.
    Check their website www.exn.ca/dailyplanet

Also, in my experience, anti-drug websites and such tend to be totally WRONG, misguided, bias and outdated. NEVER listen to them unless you've got a bunch of different sources, it's recent and doesn't come from the US government.
Almost ALL experiments using THC show that it's not harful, in fact its actually GOOD for you in many ways.

I was just reading the latest HEADS magazine (Ed Rosenthal Issue) and they have a little piece that says that a study done by dr donald tashkin (who used to say cannabis caused cancer) is now saying that it doesn't. In fact, there are no conclusive studies done TO DATE that can state that marijuana smoke directly causes lung cancer.

    free the weed!

it's all bogus and the gov't knows it.i remember reading an article saying that marijuana is like a key and a part of your brain is the keyhole.

since you are from canada, let me ask you this,is weed legal over there?

Weed is not legal here. (Not yet!) But Canada is WAY more likely to legalized or decriminalize than the USA is. We have a decrim bill in the works, but shit takes time.
In B.C. and Quebec, although weed is technically illegal, you can get away with it pretty easy. I'm from Quebec.
My friends and I have been stopped by cops dozens of times, but never arrested or ticketed. Usually, the cops just tell us to move along or they just take our stash. (they go smoke it later for sure!)
I'm not worried about personal use and consumption here in canada, except for in the Prairie Provinces where it's very "republican" like. They'll fuck you up over there for weed. Everywhere else, you're good.

The second study was done on a THC-inhibitor. It blocks all the good things it will do.

But what fucked the experiment up, was on top of the THC (which won't readily get out of the mice and rats' systems), they added THC antagonist SR 141716A.

They overmedicated the poor animals, and then said they were druggies. These kinds of experiments should be banned.

This statement gives me an inkling that this guy has links to Communism.

"We have been searching for a marijuana antagonist for many years," said Dr. Martin, who has been a marijuana researcher for 22 years.

We all no cannabis is great for you now all the stoner scientests are proving everything most stoners already no but still the fucking governments are saying it makes you go "crazy" and gives you depression. It not right loads of scientests are proving that cannabis is good for all sorts of things using the truth. THEN anti-drugs people say bullshit like you will can addicted to crack, lose your house and die young why are they aloud to do this?

Yuh-know, Carl?, you're wrong about the "all the stoner scientests are proving everything most stoners already no" part, because they're still proving better and better stuff about Marijuana, everyday.

I challenge all scientists to prove a fault with Marijuana, and directly link the fault to Marijuana. It can't be done. The only proof someone will say is that they can prove that they're lazier, but it's the same reason they smoke pot. They want to be lazy.
