why are my plants so small?(beginner)

ok i have three plants! they are about 3-4 inches tall. they are going to be 4 weeks old in 3 days. is this normal? they are growing pretty slow. what can i do to help them grow better and faster. just bought some some miracle-gro plant food. its the only thing they sell around here. im going to use it starting tomorrow morning. also on one of my plants the bottom 2 leaves are turning yellow, not the round ones but the ones that grew after them. what does it mean? please help me with my plants! i want them to be good. does anybody have any spare seeds that they can give away or that they want to sell? please let me know! you can always email me at [email protected]

thanx you guys! (and please dont get mad at me if i am asking any stupid questions! i am just a begginer!)

No that is not normal at all. They should at least be over 12 inches already. What size pots are they in? List your growing conditions. The yellowing of the lower leaves may be the sign of a nitrogen deficiency. List everything in your setup so we can get a better I deal of the situation.

i have my plants in what i believe to be 6 inch wide pots. they are growing under flourescent lighting. the plants are no more than 1-2 inches away from the light source.the soil is always kept wet. (never has dried out) they were growing pretty fast for the first week or 2 but then they slowed down. my leaves are also curling up.

    what is the problem????

Replant them into larger pots. I bet you'll see the problem when you pull them out of those tiny pots. It will be a mass of roots. The plants cannot grow without space for their roots to grow also.

Dont forget to say that your killing your plants by overwatering, let them dry out down to about 2-3 inches then water, About every 2-3 days of just as the leaves start to droop. All plants use water at different rates. Read Klozitking.net grow forums, Peace..MrP.
