O.K....

I've done my readings tons here and on other sites, but still would like to confirm that I'm going to invest my time and not waste it.

This is my first grow other than stupid High School S**t. So, I want some advise if I'm not heading in the right direction.

1. 11 Plant Ebb/Flow set-up from hydroponicsonline built. Initial settings planned for 15 min wet / 2 hours dry (best timer can do)
2. using 16 oz cups in 2 liter bottles (cut in half as set-up shows) to grow in. 1.5" rockwool for seedlings with pebbles for drainage. (tried to flow it in test with perlite/pebble mix, but stuff makes a white mess, inert but will flush water and keep perlite anyways unless otherwise suggested.)
3. Using 3 part grow nutes with HolyGrow for extra boost, planning on a couple of drops per gallon. Plan on doing 7 or 10 day water changes.
4. Ready to keep proper PH and also have TDS meter for proper nute levels.
5. Lighting will be 400 W HPS (flower) / Con MH bulb (grow). Will add CFL's as needed. Grow area about 5x5. Mylar on walls/ceiling.
6. Will be using Neg Ion filtration with Carbon Filter in room plus 3" bathroom style vent in ceiling to vent to outside (maybe on timer) with vent intake also at light to cool down heat from lamps. Oscilating (sp error) fan to move air around.
7. NOW FOR THE GERMINATION - (120 watt floro on seedlings, 2- 60 watt bulbs) will be trying T44 and White Widow's Plus 2 bag seeds started already to make mistakes on. Will germinate 5 of each using paper towel / heating method to speed germination, once tap root is showing will put in Rockwool cube (this has been tested on test bag seed, and it took right away to growing tap root right away, checked root growth in 2 days and was already about an inch long (may have damaged tap root, but was more interested in the progress and if I this works), so this will work well) MINOR grow and Micro nutes for first 2 weeks.
8. Once I get to the stage on showing leaves, then will have to go back to notes on nutes (going up a bit) on each (321, 111, 123 method on nutes)

So, my concerns are such... Perlite, dump it or just water change, until water is clear and keep it in gravel. HPS... 400 enough with CFL's as needed? Kinda low on funds after initial investment? After tap root shows, OK to go right into Rockwool and just let her (hopefully) go? 11 to start with OK figuring maybe 50/50 M-F ratio (400 W should be enough for 5-7 plants in 2X3 area)?

Sorry for all the questions, I did do my readings and studied for a few weeks. But want to jump right in with both feet wet. Would like to have a sucessful grow, and bag seed already is poving that this method will work well...

Wife has Multiple immune disorders (lupus and other issues no one should have to deal with) and hoping to help out pain with own grow. Plus tired of paying 100 for a half (east coast prices).

Any comments, suggestions would be greatly appreciated... will share my experience along the way with pics and all... I've seen that most on this board are nice an helpful, some just hang around as leaches, and morons, I promise not to be the later one, and continue to get educated to share my own knowlege with others.
