stupid san pedro question

im planning on buying a 1ft cutting and making it into a tea/liquid. heres my dumb question, do i have to consume the liquid in a timely fashion or can i save it a few hours or a day without it looseing potency?

i ask this cause ill have to prepare it at night so my mother wont intrude, but i want to trip during the day when the suns out and im fully rested, should i refridgerate the liquid, keep somewhere at room temp., reheat before consumption?

either way works, time would make it more potent.. i would suggest the fridge tho
