oh, and p.s. the military is not as great as it sounds. you are paid next to nothing for the possibility of giving your life. the bennies aren't much. and that vet. bennefits bull shit, well, my father never saw a cent (he sreved in vietnam), i dated a man who broke both his legs and lost many of his friends in a helicopter crash, i think the gov. paid for 1/3 his med bills. and all the "we'll pay your college tutition" talk. he graduated 2 years ago and has yet to see a cent. oh, and depression gets you kept out of and kicked out of the military.
Yeah you aren't paid much, but it is pretty much all spending money. Housing, food, medical. Everything is taken care of for you. What veterans benifits BS are you taliking about. Maybe your father got screwed by the government, but that was over 3 decades ago. Things are a lot different now. I have seen everything they have promissed me, education money, and I am getting a VA loan. My friend has gotten out with a dissability and is getting full medical and payments every month for the rest of his life. And guess what, I do know quiet a few people who have worked for UPS, and all of them say it is shitty backbreaking work for crap pay. Don't let your emotions and anti-government feelings blur out the fact that the government, although shitty at times has definately changed and now, it is seriously looking after it's veterans. If it wasn't they would not be able to recruit. Truth is that recruitment in the armed forces is still strong, except in the Army, but that is why you see so many Army commercials. The government is a very good option.
