Hi all, you can call me Roadking...or Roady. I'm a 49 year old truck driver.
I happened across this website by accident while I was doing a search for Bob Dylan related message boards.
I have this friend who had started her own Dylan message board a couple of years back, and although it has had its good moments, it was lacking web-traffic and membership. So, she asked me to help her with the site. But, the story goes a bit deeper than that, you see. I love her very much. I think I've had romantic love for her, brotherly love, fatherly love, and just the love that comes with true friendship. True friendship doesn't come along very often. I would marry her in a moment if I were not already married. I'd not hesitate to walk her down the aisle if she chose another.
I first met Luna online. Talked to her more than once. Seems we both have a love for animals.
Being a truck driver, it turned out that I was passing by her area once a week or so. We decided to meet for coffee. Well, something happened that day that was shear magic. We bonded instantly. Her eyes told me a story that has no words. At the time, I was struggling with the pending death of my dear brother(a big Dylan fan.) She told me of how she had lost her father (a big Dylan fan) when she was a teen. NO wonder then, she was a comfort to me. That was year and a half ago. My brother has since passed. Luna has had her own struggles. I've inherited some Dylan CD's, and our bond is unbreakable. She'll be in my heart forever.
But, didn't mean to tell you all of that.
What happened, you see, is that I was searching for Dylan message boards in hopes of posting the link to Luna's site so she could have more company. She is such a sweet deserving girl. Anyhow, I end up here, and I see that there's like a hundred people online at one time...and I think to myself...wow...if there's a way to post her link here without being too obvious, maybe, just maybe, I could drag in a Dylan fan or two. But then I noticed the age group. And then I noticed most of you were stoned on dope. So, I had to come up with a plan. I inserted Luna's link into my profile along with a "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" drug cartoon and set off to try and put some Dylan lyrics into your heads. Very clever and subtle, I thought. But then after a few days, I realized most of you were actually very intelligent...so I've scrapped that plan. I see too, that there's an enormous variety of musical taste here.
I'll just get to the point. I'm asking you to all to at least click on her link. She would be so, so happy to see more visitors. If you like Dylan or just want to meet some cool people and be part of a growing message board with a variety of topics, feel free to hang out there. If you click the link, you'll see a portion of the board. If you register (it's painless) you'll be able to view the entire board and post there.
By the way, I've used lots of drugs in my lifetime. Booze too. Ever hear that saying with dope there's hope, with booze you lose?
In my profession, they drug test me at random...so I take a chance every time I spark one up. Haven't done acid in years. If I had a line of Coke, I'd honk that. Valium, Mescaline, Shrooms? Don't even know where to find them anymore. Glad I missed the crack scene. Sure would like to know what that ecstacy stuff was like.
Well, can't think of anything else right now. If you don't mind an old guy hanging around here talking to himself and drooling, I'd like to stay. You peeps are funny.

Peace.

P.S.
I'd appreciate it if you don't tell Luna about any of this.
