    new grower need some help starting

    well i started growing about a 2 weeks ago and none of my plants are really growing that much they only have 2 leaves which arent very big got any suggestions on what i can do i have 2- 100 watt bulbs and a 75- watt buld on it right now in my closet how fast are plants supose to grow?

    search the lighting posts it sounds like your using incandescent lights, you need flourescents at a minimum.

    i think it's floresant it used to be used for a pet cage and it makes uva rays i have some more lamps like it should i use them?

    incandecents dont help at all unless providing little amount of red spectrum this however is only slightly need in flowering try to change that incandecent to a 125watt flourecent compact availible from http://www.growell.co.uk if your not uk look around a 24/5watt will probably do hope this helps

    also a reptile uv flourecent should be just as good so i guess you should keep that one but the red incandecent is really waisting a space for another flouro

    thanks alot man how fast should my plants be growing and how far away form the lights should they be, i'm going to get a 40 watt compact spiral florestant bulb will that work?

    Post these questions in the Cultivation forum... I give you my word, people there are super friendly. They'll be happy to help you out.

    Pictures, we're going to be asking for pictures... is that possible?

    As to right now, what's your budget $? For veg, buy CFLs (flourescents)... the incandescant bulbs are really not the best for the plants... at any stage of growing...
