Alright, I did a little research and found that San Pedro can grow 1 foot a year in good conditions.
The peruvian kind grows faster and easier. What this means is that it might make a wonderful addition to a garden but unless you want to grow 100 of them at a time it's not the selection of a fiend such as myself. After a year of waiting i would of probably lost my mind.

Here is an excellent trip report from the vaults of erowid. According to this experienced cactus eater the Peruvian Torch is more potent.

Dosage? I'm not too sure about. If you know please let me know. I'm guessing a dosage of about 50g would be good. Thats about 1 1/2 feet of pure prickly horror.
