no, hash is straight thc. its a long and hard process to make it. its basically a brownish-greenish-goldish powder that u sprinkle on top of ur bud or smoke it stragitht and u get wauy way way higher.

Well hash is neither crystals (kif) or pure thc. Its original form is the resin off of the buds, and in some places they still do it the "ol' fashioned" way, which is to roll the buds in your palms, and later scrape the resin off your hands and press them into bars. Seag420's right, though. There are several ways to make it.

Spot on history lesson there lateralus, they still do that in the mountainous regions of India (maybe other places in the region) and they call it Bhang, usually made into a tea like drink. Also the resin you speak of is the kif others speak of. There are many ways of doing it but the easiest is to sift your buds on a screen over a mirror, collect the result, press it and smoke it. Why you would do this instead of just smoking the buds, I don't know. I guess if you have an accumulation of said material in your pot storage vessel you could press that. Hash is usually made from the byproducts of a harvest (leaves & stems), so you get your buds and your hash, aren't stoners resourceful?

Another fun factoid: In India, there are wandering sadhu and all they do is get high to commune with god (or his/her many other manifestations/aspects) and exchange wisdom for money. This is a well respected and accepted calling in India and, IMO, an enlightened way of going through life (pun intended).

Hash is just the thc crystals that are seperated from the actual bud with grinders or bubble bags etc. correct? If smoking the actual bud isnt good for you how does it compare to smoking hash in respect to harm. i know that a vaporizor would eliminate the problem all together but thoes are expendsive and give a different high as well.

It seems like no one answered your question.I guess you could say that smoking hash is better for your lungs because it takes less to get you high meaning less smoke.Just common sense for me.I dont think that vaporizers give you that much of a different high though.

hash has way more tar than bud tho because resin is the part of the plant with the highest concentration of both thc and tar
