damn, well, i had a 4 day weekend and had planned to get blazed every night. sadly, after the second night, my mom smelled pot in my bedroom. i told her it was my clothes from the campfire we had outside, but she was determined to find something weed related...
so she fuckin empties out my entire trashcan and starts searching through it!! she found a black tipped toothpick i had used to clean my screen with, and some resin stained tisue papers.
apparently that was proof enough, cuz she broke down in tears. she was telling me how i could have OD'd or gotten bronchitus and all that shit. lol. well anyways i told my parents i do it cuz its fun and theyre not gonna stop me. they didn't take it that well, and now theyre acting as if i'm a dissapointment as a son. and theyre fuckin sending me to a therapist cuz they think i have depression.
our whole talk turned into a lot more than just weed, they were telling me all this shit they had been thinking about me, like they thought i was troubled and have depression and need to work some things out and.. holy shit its just rediculous.
well anyways, just thought i'd bitch about my parents for a little bit.
im so sorry to here that, being (prety much cought) before my self.
There is one very good thing about being cought and that is that they KNOW. and you've gotten the hard part over and done with.

It's good to bitch once in awhile.

My guess is that she's been exposed to it before, maybe used it herself. It's tough to hide from a person like that.
2) Despite her out-of-control emotions, she obviously gives a shit about you, and apparently your dad does, too. This is *not* -- repeat, NOT! -- a bad thing.
Of course the conversatiuon is going to turn to more than just weed, because, hopefully, your life is about more than weed, anyway. The fact that they tried to have a conversation with you puts them way above a lot of parents, who don't give a rat's ass what happens to their kid until they're shown crying their eyes out at the county morgue on Action News at 11. Seriously.
I know it feels like you're on the spot, and so you are, because they're the authority and like someone else wrote, you end up having to suck it up and deal. It feels rotten, but those are the facts.
Thing is, you'll always have someone kicking your ass -- that's just the way life is. If it's not your parents, then it's your boss, when you're 15 minutes late, or your probation officer, if you fuck up severely. And those kinds of people can really make your life miserable. Truly, knowing what to kiss, and when, is part of living, and so is showing up on time and looking like you've come to play and not just being a fuck-up.
Heck, I wanted to grow weed so that I could keep a supply handy, rather than be out, as I am now. But Mrs. Byker said no -- it's one thing if I get caught holding, she says, but if there are plants in the basement and some dumfuk law enforcement agent finds out about them, she's busted, too. No matter how many assertions I made about the unliklihood of this happening, she wouldn't agree. But since it's her house, too, she gets to say -no-, and I have to listen to her, or split up. (And I love her too much for that!)
So I'm weedless, and look -- I'm still living just fine! How 'bout that?
As for the therapist: look at it as an opportunity to talk to someone who you don't have to kiss-up to. So talk about whatever's on your mind. Somebody piss you off? One of your fuckwit teachers is kicking your ass? Tell him or her. You might find out they have some good ideas, and even if they don't, you're not required to do what they tell you, anyway.
Bottom line: stuff like this happens to a lot of people. Be glad it's not worse -- be glad they didn't call the cops, be glad nobody interrogated you for your source or accused you of dealing or whatnot.
This will pass. If your shit is together, and you keep it together, in five, ten years time, you'll look back on this and laugh. Really.

I got caught with an 1/8th of hash when I was 13 and my dad took me to the police station.
He told me he had a speeding fine to pay but when we went the room in the police station, the bag that has the hash in it was lying on the desk

repeat yourself and tell her straight out that you do it just for fun with the guys and that you're not depressed at all (unless you are depressed, then a therapist might help). but you sound like an average guy so tell them to chill out, or lie and say you'll quit.

Sounds harsh. Too bad your parents have fallen into marijuana propanganda, like the OD'ing, or bronchitis. Like really, check out Cannabis Health magazine, they are online as well at:

Check it out if you can and try to have a mature discussion about it. Sit down with them and show them MJ is virtually a harmless drug, minus the slight lung damage, but certainly NOT life threatening or dangerous to you in the future.
Seems parentd are real hardass about this shit these days. I remeber when I got caught, all my dad told me is he couldn't give me shit for something he use to do, and as long as I didn't smoke crack, he wouldn't have to beat my ass
My parents know how harmless MJ is. They lived through the 70's, they know what it's really about and know that government propaganda is bullshit.
Too bad for you. Good luck man
