It may be harder for an opioid addict to quit using methadone because they were already addicted to them and use the methadone to keep from withdrawing. You will not get physically addicted to any opioid after a single use.

first of all methadone is not more addictive then heroin, its pretty much the same exact thing.... synthetic heroin, thats what it is. the reason junkies get addicted to it like the first time they take it is because they were already addicted to heroin and they need something to take its place... and what are you talking about , you dont get a kick from it?!?! why is it so addicting then? people dont do it just for the fun of taking pills, they do it to get high. the kick is the same as heroin, thats why they give it to junkies, cuz it has the same effects, just when they try to take you off of it you dont get the fatal withdrawal symptoms that you get from heroin.
