    What strain would you pick?

    Morning Rasta

Here's a pic of one of the girls... the tallest.

Hey Rasta... when should I snip (cut) the bottom set of leaves? I'm counting on you to tell me when the time is right... I, trully, have no idea when to do it. I saw that you did it on your thread, and you have those super nice "little bushes".

Anyways, I checked the temp this morning... 87.6F.... that's ok. I checked the MAX and it was 90.2F.... Yeah! Doing good... doing good.

Every time I water them, I change their position.... so they don't bend all the way towards the light in a certain way. I change the pot's position (left-right) and I turn the pot, so the plants get the light from a slightly different angle.

I'll log on in a little while

I added two tweeters per speaker... Reason being, that the Sonic Bloom product asks you to put in MAX the 'trebel' setting on your stereo... Well, because my radio was a $35 deal... it doesn't have a 'trebel' or 'bass' setting. So, I bought two sets of car stereo tweeters... $5 each. I then spliced the speaker cables and added the two tweeters per speaker...

Now you definitely hear more crickets, animals, whistles, winds, birds singing, etc.

I want to copy the Sonic Bloom CD and hear it in my car... it's pretty relaxing... nice melodies. Sonic Bloom says that you're "serenading your plants"... as in giving them a serenade. that's nice. I mean, they are girls afterall...

Plant growth is getting pretty interesting. Apparently, because of the surplus of light they're getting, they don't see the need to grow vertical much. They've stayed more or less at their same height pre-400W MH. But they're just throwing all the new nodes and growth very close to each other... amazing!

And the little plant... the one that's behind all the others for, like, 14 days, is already showing second growth, and that thing doesn't have 1/4 inch in height! I don't know if this is normal... but I'm just excited seeing this all for the first time in my life

    Laters,

You don't even want to think about snipping leaves until you have decently long secondary branches (1/2") but I don't reccomend it I'm not that experienced and was just messing around and can't say that I'll be doing it with my next grow... you say you have secondary growth?? You are talking about the little leaves that protrude from inbetween the main stalk and nodes right? If so then good job you're off to a good start :rasta: be sure to keep a steady temp and don't fool around with them too much.. growth rate is really going to pick up in the next few days.. Just keep them alive

Are they're leaves visibly fluttering from air movement? Stems are looking a little weak for 2 weeks..

Yeah... those little ones... I'm going to try and swing by Radio Shack tomorrow and get one of the little microscopes... Get some pictures of these developments...

As to keeping them alive... heck! They're doing great on their own...

I still water them like 3-4 times a day, 1tbsp each plant...

I've got my new reflector... so now I can modify it and finish off the cabinet for good. It's kind of sad that I've got to drill holes into the cabinet... it's so well finished and built... oh, well... it's for a better purpose...

Tomorrow, I'll try to do the following:
    -Reflector installation
    -fart fans installation (2 inside)
-ballast cooling box build + fart fan (to keep the ballast cool)
    -tower fan stand
-fan with fresh-air intake from the window

    Let's see how it goes...

Hey Rasta, I posted over @ hydro forum regarding the nute doubts we have. Here's the link:

I hope people reply with good ideas

Rasta, you ain't going to do the snipping? Just asking... as this is my 1st grow, I'm hoping that with pictures, people more knowledgable than me can help out with the girls. Does snipping keep them shorter? Will we be able to get enough clones with a short height?

Hmmm... nothing... we've still got time for all these questions.

    Laters,

Metal. It's nice thick metal sheets, bent/folded, and powder coated white. I think it's a pretty good piece of equipment. Inside the reflector, there's this reflective metal (aluminum?) with the random dimpled surface. One bulb socket is at one end, the other at the other end. It has the lower glass plate installed, and the air fittings with the 50 CFM fart fan blowing through.

I know you advised me against the reflector, but I'm telling you, I've got the plants just about 1" away from the glass plate of the reflector...

Why do you ask? Ideas? Suggestions? Questions?

Ooops... sorry, I hadn't seen this reply...

Anyways, yes, they're fluttering. But not too hard. I've had a difficult time with the fluttering thing and the plants. Sometimes it's overdone and I find one of them almost bent over (fighting for its 'rightness'). Right now, I've got a 10" fan blowing right across the surface of the pots, and yes, the plants are moving back and forth lightly.

I rotate the pots... so sometimes two plants are closer to the fan... and sometimes the other two are closer...

What do you think? Thin stems? Hmmm...

Captain's Log, star date unknown... too stoned...

Plants seem to be spurring new growth fast. The 'crippled' one, as outlined by Dr. RastaKaze, has produced some duplicate growth on top. I don't know if this is because of its physical 'deformities' or because of some deeply encoded RNA sequence that enables survival strategies... Picture is attached below.

Sonic Bloom system was applied, in spray form, late in Day 14. The Sonic Bloom CD, plus high-pitched acoustic reproduction electromechanic systems (tweeters) have been "serenading" the plants for over 48 hours. I must admit, that such recopilation of tones and pulses... such, music, has helped me be more relaxed. I now enjoy more sitting @ my computer and writting this useless log...

I must concur with Dr. Kaze's observations, in that plant growth/change in these days will be amazing. I'm already watching as the tiny THC making machines develop into a more complex and impressive organism.

    This. Is. Amazing.

As per the suggestions of the Kuerinthian Stonehood Ambassador, I've been applying water mist to the little ones... I've diluted in the water a diminutive amount of a 'wonder' product the Earthlings are fond of... something called "SUPERthrive". It does seem to work, and it does have great reviews written for its approval... but that company/entity definitely needs a Graphics Designer to re-do their label... Our on-board supercomputers had to crack 13.4 trillion PetaFlops for over 7 minutes before de-cyphering the label: It was English language after all...

I'll try and get some work done, then I'll re-log and update...

    Captain turtle off...

Awsome! They're stems wouldn't be as stretched had you started them under the MH but otherwise it looks like they are finally becoming "plants." At this point it's pretty hard to kill them and they're gonna start growing much faster. #1 Is looking a little droopy.. she's gonna be ready for nutes very soon
