Didnt wanna hijack erceg's thread, but my dad can suck a nut. I hate him! If i grow up to be anything like him i'll top myself. He put my family, especially my mum through hell. So up yours pops! My dad is cool, at times i am pissed off with him.. but same applies to my mum, so i have up and down moments, sometime it's all gravy and we go places and do shit and nothing bad happens, then other times i get really pissed off at him and stuff..
It sucks that our relationship is like that.. but it is.

Sorry to hear that Rob, but trust me they aint that great even when they are around. How does that saying go? Any man can be a dad but it takes a real man to be a father....something like that! Somone help me out!

my dad drank and abused my mom,so i hate him for never being there,he ran off when i was like 2 yrs old,i still love him cuz without him would not be me,never want him as a friend i mean,,,just as my maker and someone who i never knew but still think about him alot,so hell i dont really no anymore i guess

my dad died 3 yrs ago and i miss him like crazy,,,
i would never wish that upon ANYBODY...
even if ya hate him or love him...

What you people have to remeber is not all dads are deadbeats. You have had a bad experience with yours, but to better yourself, avoid being what you hated in your fathers.

My dad on the other hand is the best guy in the world. He's always been there for us and has never let me down. And my mom too. I can talk to her about anything. That's why you see talk shows on TV with nothing but moms. Who wants to get mushy with their dad? If I told my dad I loved him he'd say NO! Only when you're drunk, or you're in a lot of trouble and that's the only way out.
