Anyone hear about the guy getting beat by police?

In New Orleans a 65 year old retired school teacher was beat by four or five polize officers. one of them was repeatedly punching the man in the face. they accused him of being drunk in public and resisting arrest, but then when the tape was replayed people found out that he was never resisting arrest he was only blocking the blows to his face. he also hasn't drank alcohol in over 25 years and wasn't drunk. he was a black man and all the cops were white. what a bunch of fucking pigs! they were all suspended without pay, but i think they deserve to go to jail. apparently he asked a police officer where he could buy cig's and then he said after that it just got bad. they said he was drunk and tried to arrest him but he said he wasn't drunk so they beat him! i wish someone would come along and beat up everyone one of those fucking pigs!

Howdy Dazed,

Yup..I've been following this story and it really pisses me off . Instead of treating Mr.Davis with respect, for a man of his age,they treated him like a dog and a second-class citizen..grrrrr !

It's pretty daggum bad,when the cops in the street,are more of a danger to the citizenry,than the muggers and criminals !

Mr Davis is a good man,he doesn't even want to make this a racial issue,but I feel that it is a racial issue,because I've been to Louisianna many times,and the white folks treat the black folks there,like black folks were treated in the 40's and 50's..the white folks expect the black folks to keep in their 'place' and not git uppity..and act like they are as good as white folks..when in fact-the black folks have better characters than the white folks do,in many instances.

I hope that the officers are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law-they need to be made an example of to the good ol boy network,that thrives there.

Yeah, I saw one segment of it, those police officer's were under investigation as of Sunday, I know that, probably before that. That's great though. The guy better be put under an investigation that clamps down on your ears and hangs you by them.

You also have to remember that something had to have provoked someone enough to beat the guy in public, with the risks of cameras capturing it. There's always two sides to the story.

A few years ago The New Orleans police force had the reputation as being the most corrupt police force in the country. They did an interview with a New Orleans cop, He said Rodney King was a Kiddie land beating. In New Orleans he would have got his ass beaten a lot worse.

This is nothing new for the New Orleans PD. Unfortunately N.O. seems to get the worst of the crop of cops.

yeah ever since we have entered a police state with the patriot act the cops have been getting worse and worse I notice it alot. obviously them pigs were wrong, that man would have gotten alot worse had not that news crew been there, and they would have been given a medal for it. this is how far down hill we have gone, its not just little hick towns its in major city's as well.
