    DWC Explanation....?

Deep Water Culture... it seems like everybody is using this type of system... can somebody tell me a quick explanation of an easy setup... like what pumps it uses and what not. I guess I'm also interested in those setups that have like 50 little buckets and what not... and a main resevoir... how does that work? This may seem like a ridiculous question... but... how does the pump not over flow the smaller resevoirs? Is there an overflow pipe or somethin? If any of this doesn't make sense... just lemme know and I'll explain... I'm blazed... thanks for understanding.

dwc you dont use small buckets or resevors
quick example // you have air pump pushing air to your air stones that are placed inside a big contaner.. (rubbermaid, 5gl buket)

plants ontop with roots hanging into the water
    thats DWC deep water culture

FAQ dude.... go to the FAQ @ Overgrow.com

DWC: You have a bucket. You place plants on top of the bucket with mesh-pots... You place air stones at the bottom of the bucket. The air bubbles rise and 'pop'... with each 'pop' they spray the bottom of the plants' roots with water.

    There, DWC. Want more? FAQs

    Thanks for clearing that up~!

So what about those systems that have those huge garbage can resevoirs... and smaller individual buckets... how is that single garbage can watering all the others?

All the little buckets have floating valves in them, like a toilet. When the water level drops the valve opens and it gets filled with solution from your large reservoir. Once it reaches the proper level it closes, keeping your buckets full.
