    Asthma and Weed

Okay well ive had asthma ever since i was a little kid. Ive been smoking for about a year and a half now. I started out only smoking a few times a week, then a gram a day, then 2, then up to 4, now back to 2. I know its really bad with my asthma, because i constantly have to use my inhalers everyday. Im only suppose to use one for emergiencies and the other twice a day. I use the emergency one like twice a day and the other one twice a day. I still weez all the time. Am i going to get lung cancer? I just love smoking the herb, but im kinda worried about my health. Is there anything i can do other then eating it, or vaporizing it? I really dont want to have to quit, or cut back anymore then i did. Any support, or advice, or anything appricated.

    Thanks, penguin

    hello
asthma and lung cancer are completly unrelated....imagine a person with asthma and a person without....smoke the same amount for years and years....they have the same chance of getting cancer.....its completly about your cells and genetics

Cancer is one of the risks of smoking....if you dont want to get cancer don smoke.....although you can still get cancer (from a zillion things nowadays...so....lol)

as for other methods of using weed....i would have to say eating it or vap'ing it are the best (safest) way....as far as i know.....

Sorry not really much help but......there you go

heres a paragraph or two that sums it up and a link to the site i found it from

Effects of tobacco smoke on asthmatics
The link between tobacco smoke and asthma has been the subject of many epidemiological studies and research programmes, in the UK and overseas. Active smokers and non-smokers exposed to passive smoking, (also known as environmental tobacco smoking or ETS) have been found to be adversely affected.

Recent research from Finland has shown that passive smoking plays a role in the development of adult asthma. Researchers found that subjects exposed to tobacco smoke in the workplace were twice as likely to develop asthma as those who were not exposed.[6]

Health effects for adult asthmatics include: asthma attacks; increased sensitivity and reduced lung function; irritation of the eyes, nose and throat.[7]

Most asthmatics develop a narrowing of the airways in response to small amounts of a stimuli (e.g. dust, pollen, animal skin) that triggers their condition â?? the more severe the asthma, the more the airways will react.[8] Research carried out by the National Asthma Campaign showed that tobacco smoke is a trigger of asthma attacks in almost 80 per cent of people with asthma.[9]

One study has shown how exposure to cigarette smoke for just one hour caused a 20 per cent deterioration in the short-term lung function of adults with asthma.[10]

Up to a fifth of asthmatics continue to smoke8, and those who do have worse symptoms and lung function than non-smoking asthmatics.[11]

â??Among teenagers, smoking increases problems from asthma and the respiratory function abnormalities associated with smoking are more marked in asthmaticsâ? 11

If you're worried about smoking and you feel it affecting your health then why wouldn't you use a vape or eat it? I think those are you're only options, unless you ice bong those fo fo's.

Well vape's are pretty expensive(atleast 150 for a nice one, i dont want a shitty one) and for eating, ive never really gotten full effects from it, im not the best at making butter(or anything for that matter) and it wastes a lot more weed.

that's true, i love smoking it, there's nothing like exhaling smoke, i think it adds a whole element to it self. My only advice is to save up for a vape if you think it's affecting you that much. Either that or sell some shit until u got da money to buy it.
