Sure you could use 1light for the whole grow, but theplant grows better with the MH during veg than with the HPS. Then wen you start flower you switch over to the HPS which makes a giganitic difference in yield.
budman2000 Reviewed by budman2000 on . flowering with MH 400 watt I am having a problem getting my HPS 400 watt bulb to fire so I am going to use my MH 400 watt bulb to flower. Will this work or am I just wasting my time. Also I know both bulbs I have work but the HPS wont turn on, yet the MH will. Is this a problem with the ballast or what?
