There should be more daylight hours in the tropics-not less..during the summer, here in Texas, the sun rises at 6 am or so and doesn't set until dang near 9:30 pm..that's 15 1/2 hours of daylight. Please correct me if I'm wrong,also..there's an article under advanced techniques forum, that you may be interesed in,that deals with photo-periods in regards to growing marijuana. I believe that the article points out that it may be more beneficial to increase the standard photo-period for flowering,in the case of tropical-zone sativa strains.
Have a good one ....Torog Reviewed by Torog on . 12/12 All the way?? What do you think the results would be if I grow plants (Sativa Dominant example. Haze/Durban Poison) under 12/12 photoperiod? I mean from seedling to finish. I think it would grow normally under this photoperiod because in the tropics that is the way the sun works. Has anyone tried this? Rating: 5
