Doctor G: The Great FBI Pissfest
Did I read that right? Kent state was the fault of the unarmed students travelling between classes? Wow. Talk about the effects of brainwashing. Well I guess you have the right to your opinions.
May 4, 1970
Where were you that terrible day? Like March 5th 1770 or the 7th of
December 1941 or the 22nd of November 1963, or September 11, 2001 these are
the dates that we should be taught to remember and honor.
These are some of the dates where great decisions and great sacrifices
were made together. These are dates where America came to a change in
direction. These are times historians in the future will point and say ?? that was the
day everything changed?
You don??t remember May 4th, of 1970? A day of infamy, a day of evil, a
watershed in American history? The day taxpayer funded armed forces attacked
a constitutionally protected expression of free speech and murdered four
unarmed American taxpayers? Thirteen unarmed and peaceful protesters were
murderously attacked by government forces within the bounds of an American
university. Perhaps some of the tale is starting to come back to you.
Acting outside of legal authority the Governor requested armed military
units to attack US citizens; an action specifically prohibited by the Constitution.
Taxpayer funded armed forces were ordered to attack and kill unarmed citizens
within the borders of the United States. For a moment I thought I was back on
King Street in Boston, March 5th,1770, as the Redcoats 29th Regiment opened
fire on marchers in the street.
This is modern America, I thought, no one can give such an order in
violation of all laws and procedures and avoid taking responsibility for his actions.
Yet when the statue was raised to honor the Governor no mention was made of
his murderous act, or his responsibility in this heinous crime.
When the Vice President of the United States was asked on May 7, 1970
in a television interview by David Frost if he felt the armed forces ??obviously went
far too far?? Spiro Agnew replied ?? Oh, yes, there is no question about that.?
Even the Vice President called the action ??murder?
By now some of you know what I am talking about. I am referring to the
murder of American students and citizens by Armed Forces of the United States
on the campus of Kent State during a peaceful expression of public opinion.
A terrible mistake but one that got more attention than a similar incident
where Armed Forces of the United States opened fire on a College Dormitory of
an all black College in Jacksonville, Mississippi. The death toll was greater there
but because of racial considerations less was made of the attack.
Why do I bring this to your attention? Because history repeats itself. If you
have no knowledge of the past you will make the same mistakes again. As a
student of history and a person with family ties to the Holocaust and the Mcarthy
investigations I tell you America is strongest when we question the central
authority and take personal responsibility for our actions. An open Administration
is an honest administration. Government secrecy encourages immoral and illegal
acts; never forget the radiation experiments carried out on uninformed individuals,
or the syphilis experiments in Tuskegee.
So while some Americans may be willing to release some rights to insure
greater security, I remember Krystalnacht and the roundups for the greater good;
and no I will not go quietly into the night.
Tin soliders and Nixon??s bombing
We??re finally on our own
This summer I hear the drumming
Four dead in Ohio
Got to get down to it
Soliders are gunning us down
Should of been done long ago
What if you knew her and
Found her dead on the ground
How can you run when you know
??Ohio? Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young 1970
