Doctor G: The Great FBI PissfestMy Anti War Arrest
It was May, 1971. The Anti War movement had gathered 250,000 people
to march through the streets of Washington D.C. in protest of the slaughter
known as the Vietnam War. We camped in the parks and among the cherry trees
and during the days we gathered in public places to voice our disagreement with
the policies of Richard Nixons administration. On the third Saturday of May
people came from all over the United States and we marched down Pennsylvania
Avenue to show President Nixon just how many people were willing to be heard.
 The route we took carried us in front of a number of Federal buildings;
including the FBI building. By the time we got to the FBI building it was one in the
afternoon and most of us had been marching since nine or ten in the morning. In
an effort to discourage participation in the marches the police only set up porta
potties in a few locations. Mostly out of the way, back at the camp sites where the
TV cameras did not gather. As I passed the FBI building I found I needed to
relieve my self of the wine and water I had been gulping in the hot spring day.
Around the base of the FBI building were juniper bushes about four feet
tall. They ran through most of the perimeter, except for the areas where the doors
were or the fire exits. Up on the third and fourth floors agents stood on the
balconies with cameras and binoculars. Waving a friendly one fingered greeting
eight or ten of us broke out of the crowd and headed for the bushes on the corner
of the building. Once in the cover of the bushes I relieved my self on the granite
cornerstone of the building and came out zipping and adjusting my pants. The
crowd cheered and another dozen people broke from the crowd to take
advantage of the privacy offered by the juniper bushes.
A couple of minutes after I got back into the crowd a couple of dark suited
agents made their way along the outside edge of the crowd, occasionally glancing
at photos they were carrying. When they got to me they motioned me to come out
and talk to them. Well what the fuck, why not??
Once on the side walk a small group of D.C,??s finest grabbed me and hand
cuffed me on the spot. After a quick beating to make sure I wasn??t trying to
escape I was hustled a block over to a waiting police car and informed that I was
being charged with ??Public Urination? and ??Lewd Behavior?. They packed half a
dozen of us into the squad car and when we arrived at the jail we asked when
was the hearing so we could make bail and get back to the march. It took the pigs
three hours to book us and get the photos and fingerprints. To say nothing of the
line up so the FBI agents could identify us out of a crowd of a couple of hundred
thousand. Anyway; once in front of the judge I did plead guilty to the charges and
the judge was not the least bit interested in the politics of my statement. ??Twenty
five dollars or twenty five days? I bit the bullet and forked over the cash. Hell,
there were eight or ten people counting on me for a ride home. So I broke out my
gas money and paid the fine. We all did.
Later that night the story of the great FBI pissfest bust made it??s way
through the camp and people came from all over to offer me a buck or two to my
gas fund and smoke a joint or have some wine with the instigators of the pissfest.doctor G Reviewed by doctor G on . Doctor G: The Great FBI Pissfest My Anti War Arrest It was May, 1971. Doctor G: The Great FBI PissfestWhat was so awesome about that???? Bummer dude! What a way to ruin your day.
Think about what transpired. Protesting in front of the FBI building. They obviously were not down with that. So you flip em the bird and piss on their building instead of finding a cammode. hmmmmm sounds like you had it coming. I understand the Passion of the event but level heads must persist in order to get respect. All you gave them was the confermation that mob rules mentality. End results foot being put down. Remember Kent State? Peacefull protest gone wrong. They were afraid of mob mentality and people paid with their lives.
We have the Power to change. In order for change we need to appeal to the masses in intelligent and interlectural argument. Or all is lost.

Doctor G: The Great FBI PissfestDid I read that right? Kent state was the fault of the unarmed students travelling between classes? Wow. Talk about the effects of brainwashing. Well I guess you have the right to your opinions.
 May 4, 1970
Where were you that terrible day? Like March 5th 1770 or the 7th of
December 1941 or the 22nd of November 1963, or September 11, 2001 these are
the dates that we should be taught to remember and honor.
These are some of the dates where great decisions and great sacrifices
were made together. These are dates where America came to a change in
direction. These are times historians in the future will point and say ?? that was the
 day everything changed?
You don??t remember May 4th, of 1970? A day of infamy, a day of evil, a
watershed in American history? The day taxpayer funded armed forces attacked
a constitutionally protected expression of free speech and murdered four
unarmed American taxpayers? Thirteen unarmed and peaceful protesters were
murderously attacked by government forces within the bounds of an American
university. Perhaps some of the tale is starting to come back to you.
Acting outside of legal authority the Governor requested armed military
units to attack US citizens; an action specifically prohibited by the Constitution.
Taxpayer funded armed forces were ordered to attack and kill unarmed citizens
within the borders of the United States. For a moment I thought I was back on
King Street in Boston, March 5th,1770, as the Redcoats 29th Regiment opened
fire on marchers in the street.
This is modern America, I thought, no one can give such an order in
violation of all laws and procedures and avoid taking responsibility for his actions.
Yet when the statue was raised to honor the Governor no mention was made of
his murderous act, or his responsibility in this heinous crime.
When the Vice President of the United States was asked on May 7, 1970
in a television interview by David Frost if he felt the armed forces ??obviously went
far too far?? Spiro Agnew replied ?? Oh, yes, there is no question about that.?
Even the Vice President called the action ??murder?
By now some of you know what I am talking about. I am referring to the
murder of American students and citizens by Armed Forces of the United States
on the campus of Kent State during a peaceful expression of public opinion.
A terrible mistake but one that got more attention than a similar incident
where Armed Forces of the United States opened fire on a College Dormitory of
an all black College in Jacksonville, Mississippi. The death toll was greater there
but because of racial considerations less was made of the attack.
Why do I bring this to your attention? Because history repeats itself. If you
have no knowledge of the past you will make the same mistakes again. As a
student of history and a person with family ties to the Holocaust and the Mcarthy
investigations I tell you America is strongest when we question the central
authority and take personal responsibility for our actions. An open Administration
is an honest administration. Government secrecy encourages immoral and illegal
acts; never forget the radiation experiments carried out on uninformed individuals,
or the syphilis experiments in Tuskegee.
So while some Americans may be willing to release some rights to insure
 greater security, I remember Krystalnacht and the roundups for the greater good;
and no I will not go quietly into the night.
 Tin soliders and Nixon??s bombing
 We??re finally on our own
This summer I hear the drumming
 Four dead in Ohio

Got to get down to it
 Soliders are gunning us down
Should of been done long ago
What if you knew her and
Found her dead on the ground
How can you run when you know

??Ohio? Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young 1970
