How would one go about studying demon summoning?

It's your belief in these things that make them work...Not the rituals themselves. If a necromancer does happen to conjure up a dead spirit (Don't flame me but all I know of necromancy is what it means and the Hollywood version of it) it's because he, or someone who has done the exact same ritual before him, believes it without a doubt in his mind. I studied magick for awhile. Mostly general stuff, but the one common thing I found is that you have to believe without a doubt in your mind something will work for it to actually work. So...Yeah. Doesn't mean you can't do necromancy though. Sounds like good dirty fun to me.

I just cant believe that necromancy will work, because if it did, wouldnt there be a whole bunch of people manipulating the dead everywhere. There would be like dead people fights. hahahaha...sorry its just too hard for me to believe...I guess Im just a skeptic.

Funkamander-To learn some ceremonies for summoning demons you should read the Lesser Key of Solomon, written by S.L. MacGregor Mathers (former leader of the Golden Dawn) and Aleister Crowley. You can find an online version here:

This focuses on demons of the goetia, which are the ones most commonly summoned. I have no personal experience in this, but you should be careful, it isn't something you'd want to start off with if you have no previous training.

As for necromancy:
