There was a time when Man used to say â??


I work in order to feed my family.
I work in order to put Food on the Table.



Today man is putting a lot more than Food on the Table.

Cars, Computers, ipods, Aeroplanes, Luxury Yatchs, Caribbean Vacations, Palatial Homes, Video Phones, Designer Clothes, Designer Drugs, Cosmetic Surgery ����� The list is endless.


Man is putting thousands of consumer goods and services on the Table.
There is too much weight on the Table.
And the Table has begun to creak.


The more you put on your table the more you take out from the mouths of Animals and Birds.

The more you put on your table the more you kill Animals and Trees.

The more you put on your table the more you kill Water, Air and Land.

The more you put on your table the more you kill Mountains and Valleys.

The more you put on your table the more you kill the Sky and Oceans - the Rivers and Lakes.





There are so many things on the Table that one can barely see the Food.


We need just a few things to live.
And we are making thousands of things.

Billions of people are engaged in making, buying and selling of thousands of consumer goods.



Destroy Shopping Culture.
Destroy Industrial Society.


Go back to Simple Living.
Go back to putting just Food on the Table.

Sushil, I'm just going to come right out and say it... I think your ideas are idiotic. Well-intentioned perhaps, but bad.

Especially when you're talking about computers being excessive, this entire conversation is on an online forum... How hypocritical can you get?

I suggest you try it. If you think technology is the problem, then create a separation between yourself and it and stop posting in forums. I happen to think that technology, responsible for so many of our problems, will ultimately be responsible for the necessary solutions (simply in a different application).

It's obvious from your posts that you never consider what anyone else posts. Still, I hope you might actually read this one and stop posting the same thing over and over. Repetition will not make your arguments any stronger. To clarify, repetition will not make your arguments any stronger!

dude, please, get over yourself. who CARES about the hyppocracy of a naturalist in a modern world? we really dont have much choice, we're doing the best we can with what we've got.

im with Sushil. we need to go back to a simplistic farm and feed lifestyle.

but this (generally) requires a group of people in order for it to function adequately. besides, he cant be a role model in this case; he'll disappear and never be seen or heard from/of again.

apparently you missed this part. Sushil ideals, are not my own ideals. So why would I possibly want to become a hermit? If you're so in sympathy with him, I suggest you too choose to practice what you preach. I find nothing hypocritical about a naturalist living in the modern world. But I do in calling technology excessive, and yet using it. What do you choose to live in accordance with, if not your ideals?

Under these circumstances what do you expect me to do - send my article by pigeon mail?

As for the article - it is being read and understood by a large number of people. I suggest you do a search on the topic.

it's hard to be a hyppocrite and still get your point across, no one wants to listen.


and in OUR case, we cant AFFORD not to be hyppocrites; like you said, pigeon mail doesnt get to millions of people very well...
