yeah...that shit happens all the time...happened to me and my friends at a friends apartment we were just chilling out...there was like fucking shitload of beer cans and luquor bottles around..not to mention about 100 dollars worth of pot...a cop came banging at the door and somebody almost opened the door but my quick thinking cousin stopped them and told everyone that they cant come in no matter what..unless they have a warrant which they didnt. so we sat there for like 5 mins while the cop knocked on the door. but he left..thank god...with alcohol and 100 bux worth of pot we were all minors too...everyone was like 18 or 19

well, the shity thing was that my bro smoked a cig while the cop was talking to him, and i didnt feal like lying to a cop, but i aint gonna do that shit any fucking more, im just gonna say, NO, I DONT CONSENT TO WARENTLESS SERCHES!!! but i didnt care if he took them, they were only 2 dollars a pack, and on top of that, my mom gives cigs to me for free.

BTW-- a hallway full of cops? If this is true, I'm glad to see law enforcement being put into such good use. F'n scumbags are searching rooms for pot when people are being shot down in street corners and women are getting raped.

Write a local politician about this incident at the very least. It won't do much, but you never know.

Oh, and for the record, I don't think you needed to submit in order to allow a search. If your living in a dorm, I believe it's the college's decision whether or not your room gets searched. Different story if your living in an apartment.
