Chillin,
Fortunately or unfortunately, I am not nearly as experienced at cloning as many other people here. I appreciate the headline, but please feel free to ask anyone anything....
The best place to take you clone prospect is about a quarter inch from the main stem....any secondary shoot will suffice.
As for the taking of a clone from a budding flower, yes, you can take one....but from what I understand, the further along in flower, the less chance of survival.
Anyone else, please feel free to be more specific for Mr. Chillin.
Thanks

Now I understand! Cannabis.com un-written rules:::
If you post something, and you write it with very crappy grammar, then other peoples' answers will be written with good grammar... Interesting...

you can clone branches from plants that are in any stage... of course, vegging is ideal... past 2 weeks of FLowering is NOT IDEAL.. but do-able..

yes it is true, you can take your cuttings from anywhere. Just make sure that you take cuttings that are at least 3 inches long so that you can handle them with ease
and they, oops, I clone hydro. Are you looking for info on that? If so, check out Hydro forum...look for clones in 10 days/homemade bubbler...this is a cheap and very easy way to clone...hope this helps....goodnight
