there is no reason why it wouldnt work

i prefer fluoro for supplemental light, just because of the spectral outputs that are available with the right bulbs... all the best fluoros are in the pet shop

I was thinking of using self-ballasted 175W MH bulbs in the clamp on lights with the silver shell reflectors for additional light. Anyone ever try this? It seems like a better way to add more light than using flourescents. Rating: 5
