Underage posession of alcohol will get you put in jail for a night with bail down here in Georgia. Your license will more than likely get suspended (Hell, if I was the Judge I'd suspend your license) for at least 6 months to a year. I doubt you'd get probation, more than likely a fine.. somewhere near $500? And since you're under 18, it doesn't go in a permanant record. All misdemeanors that you are convicted of before you turn 18 are automatically sealed when you turn 18 and they can never be used against you in court or be looked at except by an attorney. And since the information cannot be used in court, that doesn't matter. So go drink, steal, smoke, and be merry while you're still a minor. " Cheers mate.

If it was in the trunk, say your dad must have left it there. Also say you gave permission for a search because you didn't have anything to hide, and you didn't know that someone else's unopened liquor could magically become yours just because it was in the same car that other people drive. What you really need to do is talk to an attorney.
