I am writing a paper on it and it is now 3 years. Some skint facts seem to be on these messages. I would direct you to http://www.jackherer.com and read his stuff online. If you are American it was a conpiracy of bankers, chemical and oil companies that held the government so they just passed a law in the 30's, appointed a son in law to lifetime enforecer and killed their competition.

As to the Brit part, well it was really Spain that brought the first evil drug laws. They were imposed on the Phillipines. It was for opium. The US took the Philipines in the Spanish American war and inherited the laws. They found out opium was imported from Hong Kong and therefore an international problem and did the first big international meeting (called for by a Catholic priest in charge of the law, I think the bastard was from Wisconsin!) in Hong Kong. That is where the Egyptians forced them to add cannabis to the drug agenda. It was competing with tobacco and cotton and had to go. The meeting went on to Zurich and etc. It was there that Anslinger, son in law to Mellon Bank (funders and holders of Dupong, Rockefeller oil and banks, Hearst papers and more, the same guy is Secretary of the Treasury, talk about insider stuff. There is so much more makes me sick.

it's just too good to be legal, I mean what cant you make with it besides food(oh I forgot hemp seeds are the most nutritional food in the world)clothes,gasoline,oil,rope,sails,paper pulp,you could produce fibre board much stronger then any wood could ever be,plastic hemp panels are 10 times stronger than steel. it would compete with so many established patented industries and nobody would ever be able to patent hemp a plant. the govt. just used the getting high shit as an excuse and whats stupider then that is that the variety of hemp that you make all these things with has virtually no thc at all you could smoke a pound and nothing at all will happen. I mean they never banned all the other kinds of poppy flowers just because 1 variety happens to be a good pain killer. but the people took it hook,line and sinker, which is unbelievable because at the time the whole countrys economy virtually revolved around it in farming. basically millionaires developed patented ways of making everything hemp produced only they now owned the rights. providing a monopoly for a few select rich while the rest of the country suffered in the great depression.
