Okay, lets clear a few things up. There are 2 ways, and only 2 ways to get purple bud.
#1-Genetic/strain...eg.blueberry, purple power, big blue
#2-Temps. under 70degF, while the plant is growing, will give you purple leaves. That is due to the colder climate and the temps must be that way through its whole life cycle to achieve them.
That weed looks alright. I don't know why people are popping wood over the color purple, but it looks like okay smoke, harsh price though. Enjoy
