+lol+ I figured!

I'm not a member of any other forums, but I guess that most boards go through phases. It's been said before, but I think, with regular members leaving and new members joining, there are bound to be transitionary periods. Times when the board almost seems to lose it's usual character and makes way for the new users.

I was reading through that Meet Your Meat thread I made. I posted it in September of 2004, and I noticed how many members who had posted just on that one thread aren't around any more. Sure, some of us are, but for the most part there's a whole new load of regular posters. So with that the whole mood of the board changes too. There are bound to be up times and down times, and I think the board's just currently going through a down time. There are more members than ever, yeah, but many of them seem to be quite a bit younger, or not interested in posting anything more than a sentence.

There are still quite a few of us regular members around, and even less who have been around since these boards were born. Shit, the other day I found out that a long time member who I thought had vanished is actually just lurking, and still comes here regularly without posting (you know who you are.. +lol+). I think alot of these members (myself included, though I still post) are waiting for the boards to settle back down a bit.

Noobs are always welcome, of course.. but it's always better when there is a 'hardcore' group of regular active members. It's getting to that stage now, but even alot of the current regular members would be considered noobs on other boards...
