I'm not saying it doesn't suck to get bad gear, but it sounds more like you had bad luck, getting a individually faulty device (or two), as opposed to buying a terrible product.
some friends of mine can't get their ipods to charge if it's hooked up to their PC. i've never had probs getting my pod to charge on my mac.
So since 10+ people from there message boards have had problems with there IPod and so have 2 of your friends, BUT you didn't...that dosn't make there product shitty at all? Sounds like a shitty product to me and your just glad you got one that works.God I hate IPods.
