The stock market is absolutely soaring and has been during the Bush administration, unemployment is at a low, crime statistics show that overall crime in the country is down as well.

The average annual growth rate of GDP was 2.9% during 2003, while GDP per capita grew at 2% in the same year. The US output is projected to grow at a rate of 3.5% for year 2005 and even higher for the year ending 2006.

Gas prices aren't a direct indication of how the economy is doing, but I'm sure you already knew that with your OBVIOUS detailed understand of economics.

well i sure as hell have some common sense, something that seems to be in short supply up there in tadaa land. when prices of EVERYHTING start to go up and don't plateau it usually means were headed for some rough times.

but you shouldn't talk down to me because you seem to have no idea wtf u are talking about, sure gross domestic purchases may have grown but you need to understand that if something like our GDP is growing at 2% per year but PCI only went up .4% and intrest rates are starting to rise again then it doesnt take a genius to realize that the poor are getting poorer while the rich get richer.
