I just screwed in me newly arrives 400w hortilux.. how fucking long is the warm up time??? I've been waiting like 10 minutes... I just see the tube inside slightly neon blue and the orange stuff (i think the sodium) sparlking on either top or bottom of the bulb.. its 400w's.. my ballast says 400w s type lamps only... am i screwed or what could be the problem?

Warm up time is usually 3 - 4 mins... if you see sparkling sodium all over in the bulb then return your bulb its defective... probably why it takes so long to ignite...

Yer deffo something not right there!!!
I`ve got a 400watt Sylvania growlux HPS bulb and it takes 30 seconds or so before it blinds you!!
Either your bulb or your Ballast is faulty!!!

the plug in the wall wasn't secure lmao its workin perfectly i woke up a 5:45 this morning (timer's set to turn on at 6:00) and literally at 6 it lit up
