My roommate and I were pulled over in Oregon yesturday and the officer searched the car and found like a gram of bud and a small pipe. He gave us both a "ticket" for possession under an ounce and a court date. The ticket was a misdemeanor and he checked the box traffic violation. He said it wasn't a big deal and not to worry too much. This is our first offence. What kind of fine are we looking at? Has anyone been through the process or known someone who has? Are we gonna be put on some sort of drug program? Community Service?

probably mandatory drug rehab

oregon is very easy on first time offenders,maybe 20 hours comunity service,maybe a fine,maybe manditory rehab,or possably all three,but probly just a fine,you wont be seeing any bars,they may dismiss the case completly the judge could be stonned and decide it's not worth his time to hear the opening statements,but i dout it,get consultation,i'm no lawyer,so call someone that is
