man one of my friends visited me in LA this weekend and he was such a downer. he got all mad cuz he didnt hook up with any girls at this party, so he started drinking more and more and more and ended up making an ass out of himself, just like he always does. i dont know if he had any fun this weekend, but it was just depressing to watch. All of my friends here think he was psycho, and they think im psycho for hanging out with him. Its such a drag to see one of my lifelong friends hate himself because he measures his self-worth based on how many girls want to sleep with him, but what can I do about it, ya know? Makes me damn sad that someone, especially a childhood friend, can be so wrapped up in American culture and society that they think life is not worth living if you dont have the right clothes, or that people don't find you to be attractive, or you didn't sleep with a cheerleader at a saturday night party.
