If you mean we're born to eat meat, meaning that we're physically adapted to meat meat, than you're right. We're omnivores by "nature", and actually humans could not have evolved without eating meat, according to one theory. When our ancestors began to introduce more meat into their diet, their brains actually grew over countless generations because of the additional protein in their diets.

Does that mean we "need" meat now? No, there are many high protein choices today, like soy.
