That was basically what I thought it was... a relay for the lights so they don't melt the timer...

I'm just wondering (this is my situation): My heavy-duty (what ever that means) timers cost me $6 @ Home Depot... Instead of forking over about $100 (50 British pounds? more or less?) for this relay, why don't you buy 3 or 4 timers... if it melts, change it... Of course, unless you're afraid of a fire or something...
turtle420 Reviewed by turtle420 on . Anyone ever have their light timer melt???? The timer that one of my 1000 watt Hps lights is plugged into apparantly got so hot it melted the timer inside and the light plug slipped/fell right out of the timer  . Looking at the prongs on the adapter and they have white melted plastic on them from the timer. I would guess this is not an ordinary occurance, anyone got any idea what would have caused this? Same timer and light I used the last couple months without any problem ???? And one other quick Question Having a Mother Plant Rating: 5
