vaporizer smell....help?

ok so im buildin up one of these lightbulb vaporizers. my parents are gona be gone for about 2 hours and im gona hit it up. ive heard that the smell coming from a vaporizer is nothing like burning weed and is easier to hide. is this true? any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks.

Yeah if you do it beside an open widow or use a little be of something smelly, they won't notice the weed smell at all.

ok sweet, and i was also wondering how long you need to keep the flame under the lightbulb...and isnt that kind of glass a little toxic? thanks for the response mirno.

Just keep the flame underneath the glass until you see some vapors coming up. If the vapors are dark (should be kinda milky white) then your flame is too hot and try to keep the flame farther away. Make sure your weed is broken up as finely as possible. You'll need to shake it around a bit after each light. When it starts tasting like burnt popcorn it's mostly spent.

I don't know about the toxicity of the glass. I've only smoked out of a lightbulb a couple times, but I think it's just a myth. You're probably fine. You might want to save up and buy a real vaporizer, though.

How do you smoke out of a lightbulb and where can you get a real vaporizer?

Just unscrew a lightbulb, put some weed in the bottom, and put a straw in it. Put tape around the straw so you don't lose vapor.

Some headshops sell vaporizers and they're easy to find online. http://www.grasscity.com sells them.

yea im saving money...i really wana get one bad. its so much better, one smoking divice and a sac, so easy to hide. any suggestions for a cheap one, and one that doesnt let alot of vapor or smell out? thanks

I've heard that most of the cheap ones (the kind that use conductive heating) aren't very good. You definitely want one with convective heating, such as those listed here.

I have a volcano, but I hear the vapor brothers and vapor warez are pretty good. The Aromazap supposedly works well but takes a very long time to heat up.

convective heating...lol too big of a word...speak in english. but that aromazap one looks pretty cool, the only thing is i cant get one online, parents might be like hmm whats this? so i was gona get my friends brother to pick me up one at the local headshop but i duno...

I explained convection vs. conduction in the other vaporizer thread. You can order off the internet. Just get a friend to order with a debit card and deliver it elsewhere than your house. Did you check out the vapor genie?
