Actually, the majority or tests and experiments show that it's not psychologically addictive either. Just thought I'd throw my two cents in there. NOTE : I'm sure there are people out there who have developed some semi-dependance to weed, but for the most part it wll not happen.

Why do you think alot of people are ignored when they bring up the subject of legalisation? Because there are so many kids like you, with no concept of fact, only wanting to shut your parents up or stop them from grounding you. Your arguments are like "uhh weed shud b legal cuz like its not bad n stuff n FUCK TEH PIGS MAN YEAH!!!!".

Nobody listens to that, I don't even listen to that and I smoke weed, for fucks sake.

If we were just to claim that weed is harmless, with absolutely no negative physiological effects whatsoever, then how will we look when the next report comes out showing that long term use causes lethargy, paranoia, etc. Who cares if these reports are accurate or not? People believe them and that's all that matters.

But if we actually admit that yes, weed can be harmful when abused, just like everything else, then we'll appear much more credible as opposed to being seen as a bunch of stoners in denial. And yes, smoking every day is abusing the drug.

Now explain to me how I am stopping the legalisation efforts.

All I say is PROVE IT. I've smoked damn near everyday since almost 6 years ago. I'm sorry, but I am a perfecty able, healthy, mentally stable 18 year old who smokes everyday, attends college full-time, and works on the side. I have never had depression, anger problems, etc. My aptitude test scores have only gone up, finishing my last year ACT with a composite score of 29, which definitely isn't bad. I'm sorry, but your "theory" is nothing more than shit.
However, I do believe weed shouldn't be abused, ie used to escape from problems. I myself smoke everyday, but I believe I do so in a responsible manner. I don't care what your little "study" link says, because I've already seen all the "weed is bad" bullshit propaganda that holds little to no truth.

excellent post, while a may not totally agree with if pot causes a lack of motivation or not,. I would like to say I definately agree with your assesment of the state of affairs of the states,. we have so many rediculous rules and laws and therefore the high crime rate, MUCH of what is law is, is simply people being human beings and should not be illegal at all. It goes way beyond trying to have a perfect society into just being a way of authority to control your very thoughts and actions it is not tolerable and therefore we get people going insane and doing crazy stuff, they are rebelling against the noose of the control freak system.

I guess it depends on how you're raised, where you're raised, and you're culture also.

In holland no one gives a shit if you smoke weed. The country makes money off of selling it...in tern, makes the economy much better...people smoke weed everyday like my uncle.....and most of the dutch people are very friendly and happy. They stay out of wars...not because they dont have a military...but because they are simply a peaceful place. I am one those people who say fuck the pigs...because where I live and how i was raised its like that. Most of LA has a lot of hatred for the LAPD. Venice beach is where I took this picture. I listen to Bob Marley, Pink Floyd, Bone...people who stood up against a fukn society controlled by so many restrictions. In all reality...you do not need a whole bunch of fucking laws to regulate a civilized country...or even city....LA has one of the highest crime rates in the country...Why is it that in other countries...there are no censoring on TV or radio...there are no or high speed limits..legal prostitution...and yet there is less crime, and less accidents. You need to take a trip somewhere outside of the US if u havent done so already...go to a place like jamaica or holland...then you will see what its like to have freedom.

Melton, I see where you come from. I had that with my Mom. They don't know weed, so they have fears. Mom's love is too deep for us to know. Anyway, the deal is to live free and try and keep to your goals. Cannabis can be used as an excuse to just sit and stare, or you can use the feeling to do cool things. It is a choice. So, dont be lazy. Use the herb, dont let it use you.

Tell her you will watch your goals and not let cannabis interfere with it. That should be true anyway.

I have smoked since 1957. I have not stoped except for 3 days when I was 17. I wont forget them either. I have been to over 100 countries, speak 5 languages, have all my teeth and lots of hair. I may not be living proof it is harmless even in perfect health, but I am certainly proof that constant use does not hold one back from being creativem, healthy and happy all the time.
Now not everyone is the same. I have only a few friends that smoke like me. Most of them are in the industry or farmers themselves. We are the Weedmen so to speak. The THC in our blood allows this trivia to roll off our backs.
