The Perfect Age
People want to start seeming younger when people start referring to them as "ma'am" or "sir", when they start feeling the effects of aging-they lose muscle, gain fat, get wrinkles. I think about 30 is about when it becomes harder to blend in with the "younger crowd", and you find that you find that more of your friends are married and have kids. But I dont think our society really expects you to be a mature, "grown-up" until you're about 30.

Id hafe to say 21 is the last year I looked forward to getting older, the thing about getting older is when your body starts giving out nothing else matters, intelligence, wisdom, money nothing... then you realize everything never mattered because soon you will be dirt just like everyone one else before you who has ever lived.....LOL happy happy

I didn't start to "feel" older until my skin texture changed. I'm almost 31 and I've noticed my skin change over the last year.....
Then when I touch my daughters skin it reminds me of what it is supposed to feel like....

Funny - I've been thinking about the same thing lately. I'm happiest with myself now that I have the wisdom to keep up with the world. I feel as if my views on the world were relatively under-developed, and one day recently everything seemed to 'click', and I feel infinitely more confident and knowing than I did a couple years ago. I think the 'perfect' age would vary from person to person depending solely on how happy they were. For me, that age would be (my age) nineteen so far. I'm unable to judge whether or not the perfect age would be 21 or 35 or 63 because I haven't experienced it. Maybe one day I'll be completely at ease with myself and will have accepted the negative aspects of life, and I'll be happy to declare that year the best days of my life.
