My boyfriend and I tried x24 salvia extract for the 1st time last night and although I only felt slighty weird after smoking it, my boyfriend freaked out BIGTIME and was running about shouting 'THEY ARE AFTER ME, THEY ARE TAKING ME!' At 1st i thought he was joking then I saw the genuine look of terror in his eyes and immediately tried to calm him down, he was twitching and whimpering and mumbling parts of sentences. I got so scared at 1 point, I was ready to call an ambulance, I had never ever seen him in that state in the few years I have known him.

I managed to calm him down after about 7 minutes, but he was too shocked to speak, and just curled up in a ball, facing way from me. Ater about 30 minutes of comforting him, he finally spoke to me.

He told me that he had seen death, that when he exhaled that final draw, he was taken into a darkness by an unknown force that was pulling him away from me, he really thought he was dying and didnt think he would come back, or if he did he would be handicapped in some way. he told me that he had never been that scared in his life, and if I smoked any more of it, he didnt want to know me. Basically, he freaked out bigtime and experienced something he never wants to experience again. I spent the whole night comforting him, reassuring him that he was ok - he looked like he was about to cry and couldnt stop his legs twitching and jerking What a fucked up drug, has anyone else had an terrifying experience like that on salvia?

I've heard bad shit can happen on salvia, it's not on the top of my list of drugs to try.

sometimes its just diffcult to control the fear..

ive already posted this tip today but if youre having problems freaking out, try going to a natural setting, lots of trees, no people. and enjoy hitting those heights!

i just my salvia intoday some regular leaf and some 5x i dont think i have hard enough stuff for something like that to happen to me

I should really have got some x5 to start with, not x24, because I bought it from a headshop I was a bit sceptical - but it blew his brains away and he doesnt ever want to try it again, though I am of the opinion that just because you have a bad experience once, doenst mean you will always have bad trips.
I am in 2 minds whether to throw it out an forget about it or keep it and try smoking a tiny bit.............

wow...ive smoked soo much salvia extract over the past month...finally i came across a way to completely get over the panic/fear
basicly..instead of resisting the salvia, go with. ride it naturally. so many times i fought to stay in control. but when you smoke salvia....well you know how it is. just relax, dont fight it! fighting the high is what seems to cause this terror.
once youve mastered letting it work FOR you instead of AGAINST you, the most intense salvia high will be positive!! a positive salvia high is beyond words.
also, if the trip becomes too intense...just close your eyes.
so..yea..and sensi..i agree. just because you have a bad experience with something the first times doesnt mean you should stop. thats how you learn and grow. do not resist your own potential for growth.

Hmmm but the problem seems to be that when people trip of salvia, the trip is so intense and real that they actually believe what is happening and forget that its not real! Like my boyfriend thought he was dying and never coming back Any other tips for preventing a bad trip, I really want to experience the positive aspects of this plant!
